Albert Lynch

Lynch was born in 1851 in Lima, Peru. He settled in Paris, where he studied at l ’ École des Beaux-Arts. Lynch worked under the guidance of painters Jules Achille Noël, Gabriel Ferrier and Henri Lehmann.

He showed his art at the Salon of French artists that he won in 1890 and 1892 and 1900 world’s fair during which he received a gold medal. Women of her time were his preferred theme to paint and he chose to work with Pastel, Gouache and Watercolor although he occasionally worked with oil on canvas.

He illustrated books such as La Dame aux Camélias by Alexandre Dumas, fils, Le Père Goriot by Honoré de Balzac and La Parisienne by Henry Becque.
